Headlamp replacement 900 1994

While attempting to remove a headlamp bulb for replacement, the curved plastic rear section of the headlamp assembly broke. The bulb's heat had fused the removable parts together. I now have the bulb and metal shield housing with no way to intall it.

My volvo dealership wants $230 for a replacement part. Ouch!

Any ideas or suggestion on how I might fix the assembly to hold the bulb or suggestions on replacement part resource?
