Direct fit or Universal o2 sensor? 200

I'm looking to replace the oxegen sensor on my 82 240GL. While looking at the FCP Groton catalog, I noticed a "direct fit" and also a "universal" (Both Bosh), for my make and model. Is there a differece? Does the extra cost justify the "direct fit"? Thanks in advance for any input. Jon.
