My son just called me and his 88 740 5 speed just "stopped running"....sounds to me like a head gasket but I'm 1200 miles away. He is in Memphis. Bottom line, he is going to sell it as is for the best offer. He will eventually list it in the classified section, but I wanted to send a Head's Up if anyone is interested. It's rust free and straight, sunroof, ran great till yesterday. He bought it from the original owner 1 year ago. I hate to see this car not utilized. It is very redeemable (although not by him). If you know anyone looking for a cheap 740 5-speed, this one's worth pursuing. His email is ogdanc@hotmail.com.
