Headlights stuck on Bright 1991

Hey everyone,

I am having a bit of an emergency here - the headlights on my '91 240 are stuck on 'bright,' and I cannot figure out how to switch them back to regular brightness. I need to head out on a 2-hour drive in the next hour or so, and it will be dark the entire way (11:50pm EST here).

Does anyone know of a way to fix this? The brightness shifter inside the car on the steering wheel does nothing (not even an audible *click* when I pull it).
