Headlight relay connector melted 200 1987

The connector to the Main headlight relay melted on my car, and I have seen that this has happened to some other people as well. This doesn't necessarily mean that the Relay needs to be replaced does it? From what other people have posted it seems that there could just resistance causing heat at the connection, and the solution being just cleaning up the connections.
