Looking to Buy-What to Look for? 200

I am looking to purchase a 240. If you had your choice, which year would you look for (thinking that you were to spend around $2,000) and why? Coupe, Sedan, Wagon? Which, if any years, should I avoid?

Also, when did the wiring harness issues get resolved, or did they?

I know getting a manual transmission helps in the pep department, but what about longevity? Will an automatic be less reliable or not last as long? I'm thinking a clutch replacement would be a lot less than a new auto transmission. What kind of life expectancy in miles should I see?

Any other items to look for on the car? Sorry for all the questions but it looks like this is the place to ask.

Thanks so much for your input.
