Does anyone here have any experience with McQuay Norris ball joints? The right front ball joint in my car needs replacement and it's semi time-critical--I'm heading up to school on Monday (300 miles), and the only ball joints that are in stock here in town are Mc Quay Norris ones.
FCP Groton sells TRW ball joints. Also, on Advance Auto Parts' site (though I would get these from PepBoys), the TRW ball joints have a "lifetime replacement warranty" whereas the McQuay Norris ones have a "lifetime limited warranty."
Is there any reason I should wait until I can get TRW or other brand ball joints installed, or are these okay? Also, I was planning on getting both done at the same time. Only the right ball joint has play in it (side-to-side) but I figure I might as well have both done at the same time, since I'm willing to front the money and get everything working well. Should I hold off and only get one replaced?
