washer fluid questions 900 1993

My washer fluid was down in level, and I was surprised to find that the idiot light mentioned in the 940 online manual didn't come on (I didn't check to see if the glovebox manual mentions this feature).

Anyway, I went to check the reservoir, and found it didn't have this feature, although there was a BLU/WHT and BLK harness connection for it. I guess I'll have to source a reservoir with the function.

My other question was regarding a check valve in the washer line. The FAQ mentions one shaped like a lower case "h" at the base of the hood, where it branches to the 2 nozzles. Mine has what appears to be a straight "T" fitting there; it looks to small to have a check valve in it. (And it does take some time before fluid comes out, when I activate the pump). Did some have the check valve elsewhere? I know there isn't one down near the reservoir; just an inline filter. What am I missing?
