cold air 900 1992

i have air coming in from outside and predominatly blowing directly onto the passengers left foot. ( i live in australia, so that is the left front seat).. this is not a problem in the middle of summer during the day but at about 2am, mmmmmm
i have only just bought this car and it doesn't seem to make any difference whether the recirculating button is on or off
