Brake Failure Light 200 1979

1979 245 dl with B21F Solid rotors with Bendix Calipers

The brake Failure light is on and if i disconect the spade connector off of the Brake spliter thingy on the lower fender it goes off.
So What does it mean? the car brakes fine and there is plenty of fluid on the reservoir.
would a bleed take car of this?
