Back-up lights 200 1990

My rear back-up lights are not working and both bulbs appear to be okay. My turn signals work so it's not the fuse. I'm guessing my problem is with the switch. I've got an automatic transmission and assume the switch is located near the shifter linkage. Any advice on the best way to fix or replace?
