volvo 240 seat repair 200 1989

Hi All,

For a few years now I realize something is wrong with the bottom springs o nthe drivers seat... it is lower than that of the passenger.

Anyhow yesterday getting out i pushed back and heard/felt a clunk on the rear center area of the seat, so I guess something broke in there now. It feels 'sagged' if I push on it.

What happens to the interior of the seats? Are they broken springs?
Do they brake or just unweld? do they need replacing, or re-welding if I remove and gut the seat?

Does the appholstry come off easily if I get a doner seat from a junker with a different fabric?

I recall seeing a website of someone who had detailed photos of seat repair but my google search couldn'd find it now.

Appreciate the help, thanks!
