960 won't start 900

I have a 92 volvo 960 and it will not start with the key and it will not come out of gear as it should when I put my foot on the brake pedal.The neutral safety switch was replaced a while back and everything worked well. When it was replaced
the problem was that I would have to wiggle the shifter to get it to start. At that time there was no problem with getting it out of park. I presently start it with a hot wire and a switch that goes to the starter, so obviously the problem
is not the starter as I have started it thjis was now for about six months.

Could both problems be related to the ignition switch and if so how do you replace the switch???
