Charging problems 200 1986

The alternator is putting out a steady 14 volts. The reading across the terminals is 12.6 volts with the engine running and the battery light glows dimly. I've replaced the positive cable. The big alternator wire is tightened down and the small wire is getting 12 volts. Where is the system losing voltage?
