New York Vs Texas windshield standards for state inspection 200

OK...we're moving to upstate New York from Texas this summer.

I have a small crack (6") from a stone hit in the upper side of the 93 245 windshield.
Here in Texas it passes state inspection fine (as in "We don't need no stinking clear windshield!!").

Does anyone know if I would have to replace the windshield before it passes in New York??

I'll do it here where labor is cheaper.

And also, what is the name of the new winshield mastique??
