Hey guys, I've got a few questions for you, and would appreciate your help. Sorry if these seem basic, but im new to working on cars.
I had to replace the front girling calipers on my 1981 dl due to one of them being stuck. While replacing them, I also had to replace a few of the copper lines due to stripping the nut. I'm fairly certain that I put all the lines back correctly, but if any one can tell me which hose (left or right) connects to the top of the two on the caliper I would appreciate it. Does it even matter? I also have been reading about mounting the calipers backwards. To be clear, the single bleeder should be on the top and the double bleeders should be in the middle of the caliper, correct?
Also I have a home made power bleeder. When you first put the cap on the reservoir and start to pump the bleeder up do you need to worry about the air that is in the line? Once connected and pumped up, all I have to do is open the bleeders up until the air bubbles are out and i see clear fluid, no brake pumping required.
Thanks a lot
