troubleshooting brakes 700

my volvo (760) spent about 3 years in the garage, and i just got it back on the road a few months ago.

the brake pedal has alot of give and I am not sure if somehow air got into the lines, or if the calipers need to be replaced. Does anyone have an easy test to distinguish between the two. I don't have very many tools with me.

also...is there anything else i should be watching for brake-wise after letting the car sit for so long?
