Clunk when changing gears. Tailshaft bushing? Regulator? 700 1989

I read the FAQ's, and the CV joints sound less suspect in the IRS setup. I get a dull clunk when going from P to R, then to D.

It is almost like a regulator gone bad - but I am not sure that this car (89 760) even has one? What about the tailshaft bushing? I am pretty sure I am close to needing this cheanged.

Any prior experience out there on this? Thanks for any and all help.
