I've got a chance to get one of two diesel 700 cars. One is an automatic, the other is a stick. I am going to make my decision based on the potential mileage. I'd like to hear from owners of both on the mileage they're getting. So when you write; please include whether stick or auto and (very important) the type of driving you did when you calculated it. For highway driving, do you stay closer to 55-65mph? or drive 75-80?
City; 30mph/50kmh speed limits, many stops
Suburban; 40-55mph/60-90kmh speed limits, often get to road speed for minutes at a time
Highway; steady speeds for many miles.
And I suppose one other big factor plays into this... does your car run smooth and strong and had injector pump timing checked within last few years, or is it a bit tired, rough or smoky and runs only because it still starts?
