I'm trying to figure out why I have a rear fog switch next to my antenna switch by the steering column. The little red led inside the switch does not turn on. I checked for voltage and good bulbs on the lower row of lights in the taillight. There was no voltage and the bulbs were good. Next step is to check the rear fog switch for voltage, but it started to sleet.
I'm talking about the 2 lower bulbs in the lense housing. They were not the same, one was an 1157 and the other a 7506 (same as reverse bulb) I think.
Does anyone know what needs to be done to get these 2 lower lights to do something? Were they disabled for a reason? I could investigate putting brake bulbs in and wiring them in parallel to the brake lights. Then I'd have super bright brakes.
It was too cold and sleeting so I didn't feel like getting up under the dash to check for voltage at the switch. There was also a panel screw missing and things never seem to be as good once you put them back together, so I'm waiting on a replacement screw.
