Skandix exhaust hanger 140-160

I installed the Skandix system on the '70 145.
I don't see where the hanger shown below fits.
The installation instructions show it on the headpipe somewhere but no detail
and I don't see a logical place for it to go.
Any ideas where it belongs?
Note the notches cut out of one side. It appears to have to fit into some kind of slot or something similar.

Overall, the installation went well. I don't think I'd spring for another Skandix system when this one goes. To me, the Starla (a.k.a. Walker) system for an injected B20 sounded a little better and was easier to install. My engine is just stock (and tired at that) though so I'm sure I will not see any and didn't expect any better performance. Oh yea, the Starla system didn't cost as much either.

Anyway, here is the clamp/hanger. Where does it go?
