Disassembling seized engine, recount, with images, Re: Rule 308 700 1990

In my haste 3 months ago I failed to post a resolution message. Here we go:

I had a seized engine in a '90 744 with about 160k. I had to turn the engine to remove the torque converter. I found a piston rod bearing end cap with one bolt gone and the other bent to heck. The remains of the end cap were stuck against the block. Here are some links to nice pics, they are about 1 MB each.

What I saw in oil pan
Looking at where the end cap used to be
Piston, rod, and cap, after I beat them out through where the head was.

Car is back on the road with many new parts. Might be selling in the Ithaca, NY area if I can get a good price for it. I might regret it when I have money in 5 years, but maybe I will happily own a 940 or something.
