Changing rear end ratio, LSD too? 900

My '95 960 has a built Ford AODE behind a 5.0, and equipped with a wide ratio gearset which makes for too-short gearing when combined with the stock 3:73 rear end. I thinking about either installing a 3.07 or 3.31, as both are readily available used for cheap on Ebay (out of CJs, etc.)
These taller ratio ring and pinions use a different carrier than the 3.73, so does anyone know if the stock Volvo/Eaton ALD will fit in this carrier, or will I have to buy a new unit, such as a True Trac?

Thank you, Jared
