Hi-Temp RTV: Realistic Temporary Fix for Small Exhaust Manifold Leak?

So my 1993 944T has a small (1/8" est.) leak on the front of the gasket for header #1 and I won't have time to deal with it for at least a month. Would laying a bead of red RTV sealant (rated to 650 degrees F) be a realistic temporary fix? Thanks all?
