The rear u joint on my 1982 240 failed and was so bad in fact that it started to wear away at the driveshaft. I went down to the junkyard to grab a whole new driveshaft figuring I could grab one that had good joints. I got a good unit, the problem is that I accidentally got the 2 inch diameter one that comes in later models. I can take it back to the yard and exchange it, but now I don't have a working car, and the only 1 3/4 diameter driveshaft there has at least one joint that needs to be replaced.

Does anybody in Salt Lake City want to trade me a 1 3/4 inch diameter driveshaft (preferably with good u-joints) for a 2 inch diameter shaft with good u-joints?

Also are all three of the u-joints interchangeable?
