Aircon leaking water 700

Am having an issue of water leaking inside a 740 when the aircon is on.
Have checked and tried to clean the outlet hole (no hose fitted )located under the bonnet through the firewall, left hand side.
Australia - so the left is the passenger side - the floor carpet is continually wet.
You can feel cool air through this hole but the water seems not to be coming out.
Any clues ?
