Alternator cable 200

I have an 89 240. My alt light came on and may battery lasted about 45 minutes of driving. The thick wire cable that connects to the alternator broke off at the connector. Does anyone know where I can find a connector big enough to fit the cable in and be able to crimp it so it doesnt come off. I have a connector but too small I opened it up and crimped it but it's not very secure. Anyone had this problem. Thanks Phil
