O.K., so I start my car Saturday morning, temp. about 28F outside, no problem starting. I let it warm up while I racked up my bike for the Bike Ride to Rippey (mid-winter craziness ride here in Iowa) After a block or so this sound comes from about the right front quarter of the car, somewhere. It sounded like a rock between the rotor and pad, or like what a dry power steering pump sounds like when you turn the wheel, or a combination of the two. So I hit the brakes and pumped them a time or two, still there. Crank the wheel sharply. Still there. It wasn't wheel speed specific, but almost like flywheel speed specific. Anyway, the strange part is that I simply turned off the car, restarted it after 20 seconds, and had no more problems after or since. ? Oh! one liiiiiiitle thing I forgot to add. I couldn't get over 40 mph while it was doing this. Anyone? TIA
