Coolant in ATF Need Advice Quickly 200 1984

Hello, I noticed today the my ATF was looking kind of pink instead of red. It has less that 10,000 miles on it and I also noticed my overflow bottle looking a bit low as well. i have had a mild leak where the trans. return line leaves the radiator, but it was just a couple of drops a day. I had noticed a difference in the transmission's shift characteristics, but thought it was due to the higher state of tune I now have my engine in.
How can I identify coolant in my ATF? If I have coolant in the ATF, what do I do to keep from destroying my trans. Bentley says that disassembly is the only cure. Is this true? How about a good flushing with fresh fluid? How can I keep the car driveable for a few days until I can replace the radiator?
Is there any other reason for the fluid being kind of pinkish and not red?? I have never seen this happen before, anyone? Please?
