Part time overdrive 200

I have an 85 GL with 200,000 plus miles that has an overdrive that only works after the car has been driven about 7 to 10 miles. After it warms-up, everything works fine and it shifts to OD normally. I don't think it's the relay or wiring, but I could be wrong. Maybe someone could chime in that's had this problem? Thanks
