Now I've got a real problem. I pulled the engine (B20) apart tonight (bagged and tagged everything etc.) and when I got the head off, I found that bore #3 is broached (I'll post pictures later), there are two scores on the side of the bore inline with the engine (from the cir-clips no doubt) they are around 1/8th of an inch wide and start about 1.5 inches below the top of the block and cary on below piston level. I did my best to estimate their depth with a wire gage and one is about 10 thou and the other is 20 thou. This means that I have to bore the engine about 40 thou to clean the scores up.
No big deal right...well I mic'ed the bores and they are 3.622 already! They are still cross-hatched and otherwise are not tapered and are round. Crap. So can a B20 take 0.162 over? Where would I get pistons? Should I have the engine sleeved? I need a boost here, someone give me some good news.
