Washer Pump 700 1988

Last night I repaired my Washer Pump that was locked up. I thought I would share what I did.
The pump was held to the motor with plastic tabs, which I unlatched, and using pliers, pried the pump away from the motor.
The motor turned fine when disconnected from the pump.
The 2 gears in the pump were tight against the walls of the pump.
I removed the gear attached to the motor shaft by removing the end cap of the motor and pulling out the armature. I was able to break loose the glue holding on the end cap by squeezing it with pliers(temporarily force it to be oval instead of round).
By sanding the outside of each tooth of the gears, I made them smaller. I rubbed each tooth against fine sandpaper on a flat surface.
I put it all back together, applied voltage to check it, and it works!
I hope this helps someone else.
