1982 240 DL (KJET), Automatic, 265K
I am going to flush the fluid in the original tranny, but here's the catch:
At 220K, the fluid was flushed, and not being as detail-oriented back then,
dexron was used. Everything seems to work fine--smooth shifting. But will
going back to type F make things screwy, now that the dexron has more
than settled into the seals, etc. Maybe this is a good time to go with
Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF (or some synth fluid compatible with F)?
