83 - 245 Wifewagon Hot Start Problem 200 1983

Starts in the morning and once into town to Market ( 10 Miles away ) and then trying to Restart 20 Min. later with warm engine she just cranks & cranks, appears totally Flodded, reasoning I say Flodded is even with Starting Fluid and great spark engine will not start, so we left it there over night and the next morning, she starts, your thoughts ?? Wife wants new car, help, LOL !
