Air Box NOISE...wierd 900 1993

My 93-940 air box is making a loud rythmic hum. What is in there that could make that kind of noise? It is not coming from the throttle body hose or the engine recycle hose, but directly from inside the engine side port and from the top where the intake hose attaches of the air box.

What is doing this?
