I am thinking of selling our wagon later this year. I have done so much detail work and upgrading to later mechanics and interior that it is very hard to figure what it is worth by using NADA or Kelly. Here's its description so you can judge. Volvo guys should know best.

No rust anywhere, no rattles, no missing trim or interior pieces

Most of the driveline replaced:
• 1995 B230FT installed 36K ago (parts car had 93K). New rear crank seal and timing belt/front seals replaced at that time. This engine is the very desireable late type that has piston cooler oil nozzles and has been run on Mobil 1 since 22K (according to previous owner). Compression is very even and idle is rock solid. Emission results tell the story.
• This car does NOT sound like an old Volvo when running. Seasoned Volvo owners know that sound of a red engine when it's tired.
• AW-71 transmisssion was rebuilt 39K ago, including new torque converter
• Turbo is tight and does not drip oil onto motor mount
• Engine compartment stays clean and dry
• Inside of turbo hoses DRY, not oily
• Brand new cat-back exhaust system (Oct /05)
• Car is not normally driven hard but is VERY strong when you want the power

Inside:
» Medium Tan leather interior
» 1994 960 seats - dual 8-way power with memory driver's seat
» Both front heaters and lumbar adjusters work properly
» Seat have been cared for and do not show normal wear
» Leather is soft
» Headliner is NOT coming down as on most of these cars
» Tailgate panel is not broken and flapping around like many others.
» New windshield has no pitting or chips.
» All 4 power windows & front and rear intermittant wipers function properly.
» Carpeting is in fair shape. No tears or holes but does not look brand new.
» All dash, accessory and outside lights works properly. All of those expensive, hard to reach dash bulbs were replaced in 2004.

» Automatic Climate Control works perfectly. Set your temp...and leave it forever
» A/C system does not leak, gets icy cold on the hottest days
» Tilt wheel

» Double DIN Volvo 6 speaker Premium Sound System from 960, car is wired for rear 6 CD shuttle. (can include changer for $100)

Chassis:
- Jumbo front brakes with 26MM rotors
- New rear brake pads
- Good front end with poly control rod bushings
- Brand new matching rubber all around, less than 1000 miles.
- ALD 3.73 locking type rear with anti-sway bar - makes all the difference when driving in snow.
- IPD 25MM front sway bar.
- Frame mounted trailer hitch (1-1/4" receiver tube)

Mileage: 1995 engine and ALD rear axle less than 130K (107k on Mobil 1), transmission less than 40K, odometer 234K. Gas mileage is 25-28 highway / 19-22 local.

The bad parts:
x Clear coat on hood has some peeling (roof is good)
x LF quarter panel has dent near fuel filler
x Cruise control didn't work last time I tried it but can have it repaired if it's important to buyer.

Emissions test (February 2006):

Dyno: HC 14PPM (58 allowed), CO 0.02% (.33% allowed), NOx 36PPM (652 allowed)

Idle: HC 9PPM (limit 200), CO 0.00%
