Big tear in wiring harness grommmet--water in the cabin? 200

I just bought a new replacement wiring harness on ebay to replace the original "bad insulation" one.

However it has a big tear in the 2 1/2" rubber grommet that plugs the hole in the firewall--will this be likely to let water into the passenger cabin? Just curious if anyone else has dealt with this...
