My 90 744 auto will not shift to overdrive. In december I replaced the od selenoid with the IPD fix kit and everything went back to normal. Now the car is pulling the same stunt. So I adjusted the Kickdown cable today and now the the first several gears are nice soft plush shifts but then at 40-45 MPH the tranny refuses to shift into OD. At 50MPH the car is already at 3000 rpm. No amount of backing off trying to get it to kick down works nor does gunning it any further. Fluid levels are good.
