Help. I have livd with a cracked center brake console on my 1988 245wagon for years. Then I decided to replace it. The first replacement cracked into pieces as I tried to install it. A bucket full o VERY expensive plastic. I have another one to install, but must be missing something. Has anyone changed one? Do I have to remove one or more of the seat belt latches that are bolted into the tunnel?
These expensive parts seem to be very fragile. Any help would be appreciated. I am running out of patience and new consoles.
