Oil filter Guru's- Not the typical 'What makes the Mann filter better?' question... 200

OK-
Just replaced my work vehicle "Faithful Horse" (94 Ford Ranger 3.0 V6 235K on the clock) with "Son of Faitful Horse (99 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 72K on the clock)
and decided that I'm frikkin tired of being a human pretzel while getting at the oil filter under the right side mainfold. sure the 99 has 1.5 inches more ground clearance but itrs still a PITA.

Got a nice Stainless machined oil filter adapter and remote mount and aircraft hose setup from a friend who trashed his Explorer (you can hear the Monster Garage Reverb Voice "FREEBIE" in the BG) and was eyeballing the hook up
path, etc today. Its a std 3/4-16 thread that takes a FL-1A Motorcraft filter-which is same/same as Volvo's filter thread and yup the Mann W917 fits, gasket seals in same spot as the FL-1A.Its a touch shorter than the FL-1A but we all lnow its better than anything FoMoCo ever sold to the mainstream market.

Length aside, do you think it will handle the 4.0CC/249CID V6 oil flow?

What was OEM for the PRV6 B27/28 series? Me thinks the W917...but me has been wrong B4.

Input?
