smoked tailights & turnsignals 200 1990

Does anybody know if it is possible to D-I-Y smoked lens? I think it would look cool to smoke the taillights and front turnsignals. I haven't seen this anywhere. Is it possible to do this at home or do you have to buy them that way? I have never seen any for sale. I did see smoked side markers on ebay.uk.com that would complete the look. Thanks for any info.
