What are cone bushings? 200 1984

I've been researching my car's (1984 244 GL) front end shimmy and most indications are that these alleged cone bushings are the culprit. I haven't found a retail site that offers cone bushings. I'm assuming the "cone" moniker is due to their shape before installation. Since mine are surely pulverized, they would likely not resemble a cone were I to attempt to locate them by trial and error.
What is the textbook name for cone bushings?
