Timing belt re-do...no way to spend a Saturday :-( 1986

I changed my TB yesterday for the first time and yesterday posted my question as to why I was getting knock like using low octane gas while under load. Most of you said that I should re-do the belt because it is off by a tooth or so. Now that the belt marks don't line up with the sprockets how do I get everything back into sync?
