Suspension-- to fix or not to fix before attempting sale 200 1986

A friend who moved overseas recently said I could sell their 1986 Volvo if I wanted to clean it up and fix it up (it had been stored in a garage for over 2 years). It's a GL Wagon with 211K. After I changed the fluids and cleaned it up, it looks really nice. The body is straight, no rust, the paint is pretty good, the interior is quite good, even the A/C works good. It starts right up and idles well, BUT when I take it out on the highway, it is apparent that the suspension is shot. With the wheels off, I don't see obvious blown shocks or struts with big fluid leaks, but if you do the usual test of pushing down on the four corners of the car, this baby "really rocks." It seems especially bad on the driver's side front. The parts store says probably I need a strut cartridge. It's a job I've never done on a car. Are these replaced always in pairs is one question, but really my question is, "is this a can of worms?" Should I just sell the car as is?
Thanks everyone!
