Hey all,
After an easy winter so far, it's been rough as of late here in New England. That said, I've developed a leak in the exhaust right where the header pipe meets the catalytic converter flange. It appears that there is a "gap" (around 1/2 inch?) between the 2. Whatever gasket previously sealed these two has been all but destroyed, unless you consider rust to be a gasket.
What im getting at is how should I go about replacing the gasket? Should I just try to buy the triangular 3-bolt gasket from FCP, or is it some donut gasket that I can't seem to find? I'm planning on removing and replacing the 3 bolts, as well (hopefully with stainless ones, if possible.)
Just for the record, my cat has the O2 sensor in it, thus a leak before the cat is negatively affecting the O2 readings.
Any input will help!
Thanks much,
