Can I remove my 240's plugs and reinstall them?
I just did a tuneup, in a hurry, on my lunch hour.
(I'd been getting about 20-21 mpg instead of about 24 as I was earlier.)
Bosch WR-7DC plugs have been pre-gapped for 240s for so many years, I didn't plan to gap the plugs that I had ready - and didn't have the time or tools.
However fcpgroton gave me WR-7DC+ plugs, these apparently have a much smaller gap.
I eyeballed it, adjusting the gap somewhat wider on all four plugs.
Results are good; I got 25 mpg on the first fill-up, so I did at least a fair job.
Anyway, I'd like to remove the plugs and gap them properly this weekend.
Planning for this, I only tightened about 1/8 turn instead of the usual 1/4 turn when installing, figuring I'd leave some unused crushability in the crush-gaskets.
Should I just buy new plugs?? Or gap and reinstall the ones I just put in?
