m46 rebuild 1800

dropped the m46 from the ES and noticed most of the gaskets had been replaced with RTV (it wasn't me i swear!!)i've torn down the tranny, got all the major pieces separated and have sourced a gasket set including the OD gaskets from ipd. Do i need to use adhesive with these gastets or need to know anything before i throw this thing back together?
