throttle body adjustment????? 200 1979

For the past year I have slowly been bringing my 1979 245DL back to life. I have replaced many things including the fuel filter, intake gasket, fuel pump, fuel pump relay, air filter, flame trap set up, cold start injector, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, speedometer cable and driver gear, etc. etc. I have been getting a high pitch whistling noise from the top of the engine and traced it to the injectors so today I replaced the fuel injector seals and the injector holders. This has solved the "false air" getting sucked in around the injectors perfectley but... Here is the problem, when I put the car in gear it stalls unless I am giving it gas. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
I should say that as long as the car is moving it runs fine and also prior to the work that was done today I have been driving this car daily.
