Installing electric fan from 940 into 740 700 1987

I have a 1987 740 Turbo in which I would like to install the primary cooling fan from a 940. I also have the large fan relay from the 940. I have two questions.

1. There is a temp sensor in the rad on the upper right which I understand is a sensor to allow the computer to change the timing. Would I be able to use the feed from this sensor as well to trigger the electric fan?

2. How would I hook up the fan to come on with the AC?
