Just installed a manual boost controller. When I re-assembled everthing, after checking the hoses thouroughly, it now makes a whistle under boost. With or without the boost controller turned up or fully off.
If turned up to 10 psi, it reads pressure to 10 psi, but stumbles a bit on the higher RPM's. If it's reading it, wouldn't that mean the turbo -out side of the intake system would be holding pressure?
Could that big expensive hose that goes from the AMM into the turbo cause the whistle but not a drop in pressure?
The Air fuel guage reads rich under WOT, so that also suggests an air leak.
Throttle body to manifold gasket? It looks a little dicey..
CBV gasket?
I used hard rubber fuel line to splice in the boost controller, they recommend silicone hosing. What do you brickers think?
Out to the garage to pull it all off, make a couple of gaskets and maybe get some duct tape in the mix. Shame on me, I know..
Thanks in advance for the advice,
